We have extensive knowledge and experience when it comes to sanitary equipment. From repairing sanitary pumps, valves, tanks, and agitators to modifications and repairs on all types of specialized mixing equipment. We are knowledgeable in 3-A sanitary standards and the requirements for equipment that needs to be CIP cleaned.
A set of custom fabricated 40 gallon double planetary mixer stirrers just getting started. These parts were water jet cut from 1-1/2" thick stainless steel plate.
The same parts from the previous photo. The stirrers are almost finished here.
This is a mix can from a Ross model LDM-4, 4-gallon laboratory size double planetary mixer. It was originally equipped with a bottom outlet but our customer needed the outlet removed. It was a sanitary application so the inside needed to be polished smooth.
This is a stirrer shaft from a heavy duty European made double planetary mixer. It was being used to mix an extremely dilatant (shear thickening) material that would practically turn to a solid if the mixer was run too fast. In our opinion, this was almost a perfect example of the age old question: "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?". Due to repeated use at inappropriately high mixing speeds, the stirrer shaft was was starting to crack where the hub was welded to the roughly 3-1/2" square (solid) shaft. We ground out the welds, re-welded and re-polished them to a mirror finish.
This is from the same heavy duty double planetary mixer as in the previous photo. The blades were also cracking where they attached to the square shaft. Again we ground out the welds and re-welded them. Because of our knowledge and experience with stainless steel finishes, it was no challenge to re-polish the blades to a mirror finish.
We routinely work with sanitary fittings such as this 3" Tri-Clamp ferrule welded into one of our discharge system platens. We have extensive knowledge and experience with sanitary fittings, sanitary welding and stainless steel finishes.
We fabricated this handle from rough stainless steel stock. The side pieces were made from 1/2" x 2" flat stock with a rough mill finish. The handle was made from schedule 40 stainless steel pipe. All of these pieces were polished in house. We then welded the parts together and ground and polished the welds. The next photo shows greater detail of one of the welds.
A close up look at one of the welds on the handle described in the previous photo. This is just an example of our capabilities when it comes to stainless steel fabricating and stainless steel polishing.
